It's blue, now what?

It's a life changing moment watching that thin blue line appear. After the reality sinks in so do millions of questions. Here are a few of our favorite books for pregnancy and baby life.

The Baby Owners Manual: Operating Instructions, Trouble-Shooting Tips, and Advice on First-Year Maintenance. by Louis Borgenicht, M.D., and Joe Borgenicht, D.A.D.

It's written like an appliance or car manual (not that we pick those up very often.) It's really a great book though, especially for guys. My husband brought this book home one day while I was pregnant. It turned out to be the only book he read cover to cover. The diagrams are easy to follow and extremely practical. It's a must have for new parents, and especially new dads!

From Conception to Birth: A Life Unfolds by A lexander Tsiaras, Text by Barry Werth

If The Miracle of Life only brings back bad memories from Jr. High, never fear, you are going to love this book. The photography is amazing. The images of the unborn baby breathtaking, but the authors have thankfully stayed away from the graphic nature of other photography books.

The Pregnancy Journal: A Day to Day Guide to a Healthy and Happy Pregnancy. by A. Christine Harris

For women on the go, this is a great day by day guide to your pregnancy. Each day offers a small tidbit of factual information about your changing body, the baby's growth and development, or health advice. There is room to jot down notes, cravings, weight gain, etc.
